Hiebert & Decker, CPA's, Chartered was founded in Wichita, Kansas during 1973 as a proprietorship by Larry E. Hiebert, CPA. Larry grew the firm quickly by using the experience that he had gained by working for a national accounting firm, serving a tour-of-duty in Vietnam, and finally working for a well-known local accounting firm, while incorporating the verbal skills that he had learned as a salesman in his parent's retail store.

Robert W. Decker, CPA joined the firm in 1983 after having worked since 1976 for the same local firm that Larry had worked for and for a well-known regional firm. When Bob joined the firm, it had grown from a one-man operation to a business employing 7 people.

The firm continued to grow and evolve until Larry and Bob formed Hiebert & Decker, CPA's, Chartered in January 1999. Since that time, the firm has added increasing levels of automation to its business and has opened its two satellite offices in Sunrise Beach, Missouri and Derby, Kansas. We attribute our continued growth to our commitment to provide our clients with a high level of personal service while providing a high quality product at a competitive price.

As mentioned on our home page, we are experienced in a wide range of services for individuals, businesses, non-profit organizations, trusts and estates. We provide these services to a wide range of clients across the United States. We are proud to say that many of our clients continue to use our services even after they relocate to other cities and states. We continue to service their needs through frequent telephone conversations, e-mail and conventional postage and delivery services. When asked why they continue to use our services, they often respond with such things as "we appreciate the personal service you provide" or "we simply can't find a replacement that will show the interest in us and take the care you do at a comparable price".
